The revolutionaries arrived

Atbara SudanUpraising Train

is back to Khartoum

Khartoum, Oct. 1 (SUNA) – Atbara Train of revolutionaries arrived in Khartoum Station today from Atbara town in River Nile State to participate in the marches of civilian rule which were called for by the Sudanese Professionals Association (SPA) earlier following the recent failed coup attempt.

The train was scheduled to arrive in Khartoum at 1:00 pm yesterday, but the railway tracks were subjected to deliberate sabotage that prevented it from arriving on time.

The revolutionaries insisted on continuing the march and had to spend the night at Al-Gaili station, from which the train moved to Khartoum to be received by masses of peoples throughout the journey and until the moment of its arrival.

They then went to the premises of the Committee for Removal of Empowerment in downtown Khartoum, where they were received by members of the committee and a large crowd of citizens.

It is noteworthy that Atbara has a revolutionary symbolism that is striking in the history of the Sudanese struggle, and that it had previously run a train during the sit-in before the army command.
