Al-Qadarif (SUNA) – The government of Al-Qadarif state has announced its agreement to open two additional camps in FAO and Sookie to house new numbers of Ethiopian refugees.

Fatih Al-Muqaddam, head of the Toari Refugee Housing Service in Qadarif state, told Suna today that the opening of the two camps is part of a plan drawn up by the refugee accreditation after the recent repercussions on the Ethiopian continent.

The host expected to receive more than 500,000 Ethiopian refugees from different components, according to the expectations and vision of UN organizations.

Al-Fatih al-Muqaddam said the province of Al-Qadarif now has more than 52,000 Ethiopian refugees from the Tribes of Al-Taqrai, Al-Qams and Violins in the camps of Um Rakouba, Tandiba and Basanda.

Mohammed Abdul Rahman Mahjoub, secretary of the Government of Al-Qadarif, called for the need to provide the necessary services to refugee-hosting communities in the localities where the camps were set up and the importance of rehabilitating the camps and providing the necessary services, praising “the role of the security services in protecting all camps, establishing security and reducing the leakage of refugees.”
Sudan’s move comes at a time when European countries and around the world are increasingly receiving any refugees for their territories.
