“The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied on Thursday the allegations made by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), commander of the Rapid Support Forces, regarding the involvement of Egyptian aircraft in the ongoing battles in Sudan.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry affirmed in a statement that “these allegations come at a time when Egypt is making strenuous efforts to stop the war, protect civilians, and enhance the international response to humanitarian relief plans for those affected by the ongoing war in brotherly Sudan.
“The Egyptian Foreign Ministry called on “the international community to examine the evidence that proves the truth of what the leader of the Rapid Support Forces militia said,” emphasizing “Egypt’s commitment to the security, stability, and unity of Sudan,” and stressing that it “will spare no effort in providing the necessary support to the Sudanese brothers in facing the severe damage resulting from this brutal war.”Earlier, yesterday evening, the commander of the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces accused Egypt of participating in the war that has been ongoing for more than a year between his forces and the Sudanese army, saying that “Egyptian warplanes participated in airstrikes on Rapid Support Forces.”In a recorded video on Wednesday, Hemedti accused Egypt of training the Sudanese army and supplying it with drones as the war in Sudan continues between the Rapid Support Forces and the army.Hemedti continued in his speech: “I extend my thanks to the heroes of the Jebel Moya battle, the heroes who were martyred, betrayed, and treacherously struck by the state of Egypt with treacherous Egyptian aircraft, and this is similar to what happened in the Karari battle,” according to his description. He added, “We have been silent for too long, and we said maybe they will wake up, but they are persisting in the battle.”The Sudanese army had announced on Wednesday the success of its forces in regaining control of the Gereida area in Blue Nile State, which was under the control of the Rapid Support Forces, thus the army fully controls the state.Earlier, the Sudanese army announced “finding weapons, ammunition, and medical supplies of Emirati origin and export” in the Jebel Moya area, after liberating it from the grip of the Rapid Support Forces earlier this week, according to its statement. The Sudanese army indicated in a statement that “every day, the threads of the conspiracy and its dimensions are revealed anew,” adding that “the preamble of ammunition boxes, weapons, and medicines are conclusive evidence clearly showing the involvement of the United Arab Emirates in supporting the terrorist Dagalo militia,” as it stated.”
