Sudan to form a national committee to investigate the American allegations about the use of chemical weapons

Port Sudan, -(SUNA) – The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council has issued a decision to form a national committee to investigate the American allegations regarding the use of chemical weapons by the Sudanese army during the Dignity War.

According to the brief statement reported by the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), “In fulfillment of Sudan’s international commitments, including the Chemical Weapons Convention, and within the framework of transparency adopted by the Sudanese government and its lack of conviction regarding the validity of the U.S. administration’s accusations of Sudan’s use of chemical weapons, the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council has issued a decision to form a national committee comprising the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, and the General Intelligence Service to investigate the American allegations, with the committee to submit its report immediately.”
