It considered this step a direct threat to Sudan’s unity and legitimacy, and an exacerbation of the ongoing crisis that has lasted for more than a year.

Saudi Arabia affirms its full support for the Transitional Sovereignty Council as the legitimate representative of the Sudanese state.

The Kingdom stressed the importance of adhering to the political resolution path sponsored by the Tri- and Quadripartite Mechanisms.
